Communication Survey—Thank you and our next steps

Dear Central Valley CSD Community,

Thank you to everyone who participated in our recent Communications Survey. Your feedback is instrumental in helping us understand the needs and preferences of our community.

Here is what we learned

• ParentSquare is the primary source of school information for school families. They use ParentSquare to read posts, send messages, and complete forms. Most people feel they receive the right amount of information through this platform.
• People want a wide range of information, including school activities, public events, student achievements, and school policies.
• Most people find the website useful, but some have experienced difficulties with navigation and outdated information.
• Facebook remains an important communication channel

What we will do based on what we learned

• We will continue engaging with our families, staff, and students via ParentSquare, taking care not to overuse it and overwhelm our stakeholders with too much communication.
• For people without access to ParentSquare, we will work towards improving the user experience on our website.
• While Facebook remains popular with some, we will explore other social media platforms such as Instagram to expand our audience.
