JMS Grade 5 Orientation

Dear Fifth Grade Family:

Gregory B. Jarvis Middle School will be holding an orientation for all incoming fifth grade students. This is an opportunity for students to receive their initial schedules for their 2026-2027 school year (some schedules may be subject to possible changes prior to the start of the year), listen to a presentation outlining middle school procedures and expectations, and have time to tour the building. Students will also have time during this orientation to practice their locker combinations and meet faculty and staff.

Fifth Grade Orientation is scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. Orientation will begin in the Jarvis Middle School Auditorium.

There is parking in the rear of the building or on the streets surrounding the Jarvis building. Please do not park on both sides of Grove Street. The side directly in front of the building needs to remain open should there be a building emergency. We will have both the Grove Street entrance and our back door to the cafeteria open.
